Wii will wait...

I think I'm going to be getting a bit more rest soon because if the word is correct, Wii pre-orders will be starting at GameStop tomorrow. I called the GameStop at the Galleria and was told they'd have 32 units in their initial shipment, and that the PS3 pre-orders were filled faster than five minutes... so you can bet I'll be standing in line for ( Read more... )

gamestop, psp, valkyrie profile, metal gear solid, wii

Nah, the price didn't jump. Nintendo said that it wouldn't be more than $250 months ago, so people started expecting it to be much less than that. Turns out it's exactly $250, afterall. The controllers are a little pricey, though.

And the Wii is aimed more at people like you than just people like your hubby, so maybe it's something, provided Nintendo has succeeded, that the both of you can play together.

And ask me whatever you want. I'll try to answer anything you got about the Wii. ^^;

I am debating on whether to get up tomorrow morning to preorder the wii or just wait and do it online.

Hehe, I don't know that it even came out of Japan, actually. It was, as far as I know, only published in Nintendo Power and later in a collection of its own. I have the book somewhere, but I have to find it.

I gave you that Chuck Palahniuk book, but I don't think I could part with this one. I could try to find it for sale somewhere, though. ^_^

7 or 8 dead pixels? OMG! I hate having just one. Get that junk fixed or replaced. The first PSP I bought (a few months ago) had weird-feeling Square and R buttons but no dead pixels. I took it back for replacement and ended up with fine controls but a stuck pixel The quality control's not great.

I gave GameStop a driveby just before 10AM this morning and saw 20-30 people. Didn't bother stopping. I hope Wiis aren't too hard to get post-launch.

Yeah, it eats and eats at me when I see them and know that I bought the thing brand new. I figure maybe I can force myself to keep it so I have an example of how much Sony products suck.

And if I were you, with the Wii thing, I'd say check everywhere that's not a game store come November 19th. Check Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Target, Toys 'R Us... everywhere without "game" in the name. You might have a chance then.

Oh, or buy it at the NEX on a Navy base. That worked for me with the Gamecube. No one buys them there. ^^;

Yeah, that is bad. I was hoping, too, that the Wii would stay in the background and be an easy buy, but people are double-thinking on their opinion of the system. Never doubted it a second and glad I never did. Still can't wait for Princess Twilight.
