I'd just call it a sci-fi anime. The BL part is more like a "consequence" of the plot, since it's foremost a plot-driven show. Calling it a "BL anime" would be like calling Gundam Seed a shoujo anime. Everyone is just focusing on the BL part because it's two guys this time instead of a guy and a girl. lol

That's good. I dunno if it's cuz I'm going through the "general" anime blogs or what, but for every good comment I see, there's always another about THE GEHY and people threatening to drop it.
Speaking of which, I never knew bl in mainstream was such a problem until this show. Apparently studios are afraid to produce BL anime with mainstream appeal because the anime-watching crowd don't react well to it. I can sorta understand the Japn audiences, but with all the exposure the foreigners have had to yaoi/shounen-ai you'd think they'd be less... hostile about it.
Sorry about the mini rant, it just pisses me every time a person says that the story is good then in the next sentence say they're dropping it because of the BL. >:(
