Now imagine that with a fever of 104 and chicken pox..
But they have never seen chicken pox, so there are men in special suits putting plastic over your windows and doors. Surreal really.

The Far North is weird... A couple years ago I had a similar shock in Scotland - I was there for a conference in Glasgow, so was inside for pretty much the whole day after I arrived. At the end of the day, after meetings, exhibits and a late evening show I walk outside to head back to the hotel and find that it looks like late afternoon. Checking my watch, it was nearly 10.

Very disorienting, but I have to imagine it's ten times as irritating for people from there to visit us. "What the hell? It's getting dark? It's only 7pm!"

it changes through the year though. Summer is about 20 hours of daylight in scotland at the peak of summer (and indeed there is no official sunset time) but in the winter it's pitch black by 5pm

I wasnt joking about the midnight sun. :)
Around the 21rst, midsommar, There will be less than 3 hours of 'night', night so bright you can drive with sunglasses on. Just imagine the inverse, and there you have winter.

Ask your hosts about midsommar and krefskiva, two very fun national party days coming up pretty soon...

i'm leaving tomorrow so no party questions. hmm. sunday actually.

i got enough parties to worry about on my schedule that i dont want more cluttering up my head!

it's bad enough when models tell me where they're going and then i get their itineraries in my head and i dont want them in there! i have enough trouble trying to forget past bookings of the year. gahh
