So you've caught onto 'His Dark Materials' trilogy by Phillip Pullman - i have to say that is quite an awesome series, and its concepts are very freeky
( ... )
remind me about dave luckett. i know the name, but i can't remember which books they were. i have a vague recollection of fighting girlie with crossbow, but this could be something totally unrelated.
A Dark Winter, A Dark Journey, and A Dark Victory.
No fighting girl with crossbow from memory, there was a warrior woman as one of hte main characters, but she used a poleaxe, and there was a mage, and i think she used a crossbow a few times in it in book 2, but i dont htink it was a constant thing.
oh, and she wasnt a mage in the conventional sense, the books didnt have mages, they had wielders of magic who could use their power for good or evil, and most used it for evil, while she was trying not to.
