Sounds like you had an enjoyable and relaxing trip, which is great to hear. As for the weather, one cannot get rainbows without a little rain. :)

And petrol has gone up almost ten pence a litre in the past couple of weeks here as well, so you're not alone. Will be interesting to see how soon (or even if) it plateaus.
