challenge (multiple days)

HEY GUYS YOU KNOW WHAT I AM BAD AT? POSTING REGULARLY.

Ahem. Anyway.

I missed a few days of the Tumblr 30 Day Weight Loss Challenge, so I'm just going to do a bunch all at once to catch myself up. Because I'm good at stuff.

Day 13: Are you losing weight in a healthy or unhealthy way?
Healthy! Or at least I'm trying to. With very little appetite, it's often hard to make sure I'm getting an appropriate amount of calories to match my amount of exercise, but considering I've pretty much stopped losing weight, at least I know I'm not losing unhealthy amounts of weight too quickly.
On Wednesday, I'm meeting with a nutritionist to set up a weight loss plan that will be both effective and healthy. So that will be good and exciting!

Day 14: What’s your UGW? When you expect to reach it?
My UGW is in the range of 120-125 lbs, which is 20-25 more pounds of weight loss. Ideally, I'd like to be down in the low 130s by the time my Fiance gets back from his trip in December, and to be down in the 120s by the New Year. That's a rate of weight loss of about 2 pounds for week, which is the high end of healthy, so it might not be totally feasible. So I think I actually expect to reach my goal by February.

Day 15: Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?
I'm a pescatarian (the only "meat" I eat is fish), and that's sadly for medical reasons; I would much rather be a full vegetarian. I also keep kosher.
I don't know that being a pescatarian has helped me lose weight at all. When I first cut meat out of my diet, I ate a lot more grains to compensate, and I think that might have made me gain weight. But thankfully, Fiance's family took me under their wing and basically taught me how to eat. So now I focus a lot more on having protein at every meal and making sure my food is more balanced and distributed.
