Steve was going to a meeting this morning. As usual, we were running late. So I rolled out of bed, put english muffins in the toaster, threw on shoes and stumbled to the end of the drive way to move the garbage bins so he could pull out without hitting them. It's actually comforting to know that there are others out there who would react this way to seeing that. Heh. Weird things like that sometimes just trip me out, but other times will somehow manage to wriggle their way under my skin and trully depress me. So, I get ya.

I love praying mantises too! I've only gotten to see maybe 4 in the wild (and one was this amazing SILVER one in Panama).

Yeah if it wasn't so horrifying, I would actually be interested in seeing something I'd normally only see on the nature channels. But yeah, it was just bad.

A silver praying mantis?! Wow! That sounds amazing.
We've got the little green ones around here, so the peachy colored one was new too.

I wonder... maybe it was a molting gone bad, as opposed to something mating related... hence the strange peach color? I know with tarantulas and such, they can occasionally loose a leg or something during molting. I wonder if a mantis could loose its... head?
