This is the first preview I've seen of Castle... my, do I love Nathan Fillion... I always have since Firefly (on Buffy, not so much). Too bad Drive got canceled. I hope this one's going better for him :D It does look cool, though.
Nathan is a real sweetie. Got to see him last year at DragonCon. Love him so much. He has done several interviews for the show. He was on The View and talked about his cat. He moved into a house and the cat came as part of the deal. Poor cat is very old and not in good health. He is so funny talking about the cat. There is a video of him on The View on youtube. I hope this show is a success. Crossing fingers.
I would have loved to meet him. He seems very sweet. And he really grew on me during Firely/Serenity. Almost forgave him for playing the evil preacherman.
Hopefully, this one will last longer than Drive. This is running on FOX after all, right?
Caste is on ABC. Dollhouse is on Fox. Drive was on Fox as well. Never got to see Drive. Nathan was also on Desperate Housewives on ABC for a short time. It's mostly about the women while the men are only plot points and are often short term only.
Scott Wolf, best known for his role on Party of Five, will play a "career-obsessed TV newscaster who becomes the aliens' propaganda outlet."
Morris Chestnut will star as the boyfriend of the female lead - a Homeland Security agent who is heading up the alien taskforce. The agent does not know her boyfriend is a Visitor, one of the alien race intent on enslaving humanity. Morris Chestnut, I don't know very well. He was in Boyz n the Hood, G.I. Jane, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, The Cave and some episodes of Bones and ER.
I know!!! I am so excited about V, but this is just frosting on the cake.
I hope there are a bunch of tasty tidbits on the extras of the Buffy reunion dvd. Will post about it soon as I watch it.
Castle looks like fun because Nathan gets to be silly which is always great.
Have you seen a DVD called The Write Environment where Joss Whedon is interviewed? He talks about how he liked the Spike character better than Angel and how James is such a great actor. Warmed my Spike loving heart. He even says that the WB was going to cancel Angel if they didn't have the character of Spike join the cast after Buffy ended.
HOLY CRAP! WB was going to cancel if no Spike??? *is SQUEEING all over the place* I know it's over and done with, but still... like you, it warms my Spike/Draco shaped heart. *le sigh*
(I don't like David B as an actor - and Angel sucked as a character)
I totally hated Angel while I really liked Angelus. Angelus was snarky and fun. Loved Angelus and Faith in the fourth season of Angel. I am watching Bones on DVD and still see Angel instead of Booth. Just don't find David attractive at all and he isn't much of an actor either.
I squealed when Joss talked about James and Spike. I bought the interview on DVD for about $25 with handling and shipping costs on amazon. It was very interesting. He talked about his father and grandfather who were writers. He talked about working on Roseanne and Toy Story.
