This saying really means a lot to me.
I grew up being the one who had to be strong.
Sometimes it just got to be so difficult.
I think it fits Buffy so perfectly.

Happy New Year sweetie.

Love The John Barrowman GIF. He is so adorable.

Love the quote about crying and it is so true.

I giggled at the Joss Whedon, George RR Martin, and Stephen Moffat joke.

Surprised you are up this early. Did you stay in last night or go to family for New Year's?

John standing still is adorable. Moving or talking he is just amazing.

Sometimes fandom works in strange ways.

I was at a panel with John Barrowman last Oct.
He was amazing. So full of life and totally on all the time.

Happy New Year!

That top graphic of Buffy from LtF breaks my heart in the best way - the text is absolutely perfect for it *hugs Buffy*

Yes, I agree. Buffy seldom was allowed to break down. She needed a good cry pretty often. It's difficult to carry the whole world on your shoulders.

I tend to think that Buffy as a metaphor for the burdens women have to carry as a matter of course, writ large - as mothers and especially single mothers. Women are expected to "keep on keeping on" with smiles on our faces for the sake of other people. (I think some of the negative reactions to buffy in fandom reflect this very point.)

These are all lovely but I especially like the 2nd one.

Sending wishes that 2014 only brings good things to everyone. Thank you and the same to you!

Thanks for pointing me at those.

I love that image of James with the red/orange background - so great to see that wink.

That image of Buffy is brilliant - and so true for her. (and many of us!)

I think he was at the Elf Fair in Fl when that photo was taken. I ran across it somewhere and haven't seen it since.

Many people have to be strong for those they love. They are the ones who shoulder all the difficult things for them. Often the strong ones don't have a should to cry on when they need it. I don't cry often, but sometimes it would be nice to let someone else take care of things so I don't have to do it.
