I love that piggy bank.

I got one about the same age, but, although I still have him, I broke the top coin slot. I had only had it a short time I was counting the pennies, and rather than putting them all back in one at a time I decided to load them through the hole at the bottom - they fell in a rush and broke the top. Mum manded it for me, and I still have it - on my window sill at M&Ds though, so can't share a picture.

I presume on yours the money comes out the nose - what a great idea.

Yes, the cork is in the nose so less of a problem to remove the money. I googled it and it was from 1957. So I was about two or three when we bought it.

I also have my Mom's green glass candle bowel with a lid that she got with Green Stamps. It was the only thing Robert wanted from after my Mom died. It sat on her coffee table in the living room all his childhood. We both are kind of softies when it comes to things like these. Not worth money, but lots of memories.

I have cupboards full of ornaments - but they are hugely valuable to me as souveneirs of holidays and family & friends ... otherwise not worth anything at all.

Memories are the value to most of my favorite things. Robert is so very much like me. We seldom disagree on anything. I need to cull my stuff to make room, but it's hard to let anything go.

I love my piggy. He seems to be napping and ignoring everything around him.
