Strange comment on LJ

I got a notice today that someone left a comment on a drabble
I posted in 2009 on  buffydrabble on LJ. It was an odd comment
so I checked out the user. Lots of comments made by a  hotemkaan.
No posts on their LJ.

This was the comment left on the drabble:

I've had several weird (not as blatantly advertising, but the same idea) comments on old posts lately. All from "blogspot" Hopefully, LJ will be able to nail them down and block them.

This seems to come in waves. I'll have several and then nothing for awhile. And usually it's on an older post. I thought it was kinda strange...never had one from blogspot before.

I got the same comment on the hurt comfort bingo comm. I deleted, but didn't think to ban or report.

A few years ago it was really bad. I got several a week. It has slowed down and LJ is pretty good about weeding them out if reported.

Me too! I just got a weird comment on a post from 2009, different user than yours. the comment was about the fiscal year?

Did you report them, ban them from your journal or delete the comment?

I checked the name of the blog from my comment and it seems many LJ users had comments left.
