Hi!

I am really, really not happy about this. I trust my flist, but that doesn't mean I want my flocked posts to be instantly available all over LJ, let alone elsewhere.

I can think of all the worst situations - suppose I made a negative comment about a show I dislike, and restricted it to people I know share my views (or, say, on the Buffy comics) and one of those got into a ferocious argument with someone else and crossposted to prove I supported them? We all know how silly fandom can get mid-kerfuffle.

BTW, I'd like to friend you, if that's OK. We seem to frequent a lot of the same spaces, LJ and headspace. ::points to icon::

I didn't flock this post because I wanted to see just who saw it and where it might end up.

I have avoided certain journals and certain people just because of the whole fandom kerfuffle a few times. I got beaten up on a few friends' journal after leaving a comment and someone else took issue with my opinion on something.

I would love to be friends. I've seen your comments and love your writing. So friend away!

Yay! And I love people who say nice things about my writing. ;-)

This reposting thing is worrying, though. There are ex-students of mine on FB whom I really don't want to know about my vampire habit.

(Actually, a fair number who do, too, but I don't necessarily want to remind them of it.)

I'm not on Facebook because a lot of my family is. I don't want them to know anything about my fandom life. They would think I'm a bit crazy, but they do think that anyways.
