What a nice tribute to poor Fred. She was very good at accepting everyone for who they were.

I had wanted to write a reason for why Spike chose to stay in LA instead of chasing after Buffy. Spike changed when Fred died. In A Hole In The World Angel offers to give Spike funds if he leaves. After losing Fred to Illyria, Spike says Angel should make the offer to Gunn. Spike found a reason to stick around and fight the good fight.

This was absolutely beautiful, and everything I love about Fred/Spike (shhhhh, don't tell Buffy). I love these two.

I love the friendship of Fred and Spike. She wasn't fooled by him, but defended him to the others. She fought to find a way to bring him back. He gave it up to save her.

*looks around* Don't tell anyone, but I don't always like Buffy. She was pretty nasty to Spike at times. Thanks!
