I think James will find a way in. LOL. Since Jane is one of the writers, I think Capt John will be in the second season for sure.
I love Rhys, but not crazy about Gwen. She is a bit too pushy for me. Still angry with her telling Rhys about her affair with Owen and then wiping Rhys' memory.
Disappointed that James will not be in it, but delighted that Jane will be a writer. Will give it a try, but not with the enthusim I would if James were there. I do like the idea of it being a ten episode arc, should give a bit of meat to it,
James said if Davies didn't call him, he go to him himself. James wants to be in this next season. I know they said James was too expensive to be in the first Torchwood too often. Since it is filming on this side of the pond, hopefully he will won't be asking for as much money. James loves working with both Davies and Jane so I think it will happen if the show goes two seasons.
Might have potential with some really good writers. Love Jane so hopefully we will see a Capt Jack/ Capt John reunion in season 2. YAY for Rhys I do like him. They need to make him part of the team.
I felt about the New Dr the way you feel about this. Sorry, but Dr Eleven still hasn't won me over. I just hope great writers will make this series worth while.
Ah The Doctor always wins me over, except for one (6! YEURK!) X-D
This Torchwood thing could be really good. Or really, really bad. RTD engineered the whole situation, the last couple of years, so he could kill a British show and almost all of the cast, then move to the US and make an American version of it, so I hope after all his efforts he pulls it off and it's a success. Cos I really do like Torchwood and Children of the Earth was utterly brilliant.
Some American shows that developed from British TV are horrible fails. Some turn out quite good. The Office and Queer As Folk are two winners. I'm looking forward to seeing this version of Torchwood.
I'm not pleased with the current Dr Who. It's not just the Dr, but several things in the show. I'm just not bonding with this year's Dr Who. It's still a good show. I'm just not into it as I was with the last two Drs.
I loved the original Torchwood before James joined it. Now I am thrilled to find out Jane Espenson will be one of the writers. She wrote some of the best scifi out. She and James are close so hopefully, she will bring him in.
