Jail vs Nursing Homes

Let's put the seniors in jail, and the criminals in a nursing home.

Some days after working retail, jail sounds quite good.

Yes I always thought that the criminals didn't have it that bad in prison as compared to some of the nursing homes. The staff that is there tries but doesn't have the time to do everything they want to/and or need to do.

It still will need a lot of work before that gets better.

My grandmother was in a nursing home. I saw first hand how they were treated. We took her meals and visited each day. Broke my heart seeing some of the lonely people there. The nursing home my grandmother was in also had lots of the women she was friends with before they moved there. So she had lots of company.

Well this certainly is funny and heartbreaking at the same time.

It is disgusting to me, how old people are treated in the Western world.

It is sad how some older people are lonely and have no one at their age. Families don't take care of each other the way they did at one time.

Thinking of it like this does bug me. My grandmother had to give up her home and wasn't allowed to have much money in order to live in the nursing home. Prisoners have things for free that senior have to pay for themselves or depend on family. Makes no sense.

And if you dare to try to put a few pennies away for "a rainy day" then you get penalised every time you try to claim.

It is so backwards.
