This That And The Other

I haven't been around much lately.  I've been stressed out for many reasons.

Work, allergies, money and just crappy stuff.  I went into a funk.  I have 1290

messages in my inbox here.  I have 920 email messages in my email account.

I haven't been able to write anything. My muse ran off.

It's just a phase. I don't normally let myself get down like this. It's rare that I post about things like this. Good friends like you make me happy.

You have the patience of saint to be able to work in retail! And with returns! Yikes! *hugs*

I'm so glad you are getting some relief on the financial end with the lower meds costs.

I can't get too excited either way about the comics. I choose to believe they don't exist. *sticks head back in the sand*

I rarely read anything but Spuffy fic. Sometimes I venture into Spangel land, but I just can't stomach Spike/Xander. *shivers and does her best not the throw up* Why does Xander turn me off so badly? He's so incredibly gross to me.

I hope you write some more soon. :)

There are a few writers who do Spander that make me like Xander. Canon Xander ticks me off. Now Spike with Lindsey, yay baby ( ... )

Retail really is hell. Go you for dealing with it! Hang in there :)

Yes, it is hell. Most of the customers are okay. Some are going to blow anytime you don't give them what they want. It makes me a very nice customer when I shop.

When we're stressed out or not feeling healthy, posting becomes at once less appealing. I realized that I haven't posted much since the beginning of the year , because RL was difficult.::hugs::
The whole Buffy comics mess has upset me which is dumb Many, many people have been upset by it , readers and non readers. It felt like we could stumble upon a post about comics everywhere , I found it depressing too but now as you perhaps saw in my recent posts, I left all the worries behind.
It's obvious to me that the characters and Buffy in particular aren't written like we used to enjoy them so yes I think the stuff is ridiculous and the best thing to do is again to ignore it as much as possible.

Take care , and sending good vibes for a better health and spirits.
Caroline.

I read several of the posts about the comics and comments that Scott Allie made. I really have come to dislike him. He seems to be very condescending. I really believe that this mess in the comics will come to a bad ending in season eight. Joss is doing a season nine it seems so I doubt it will be Buffy ♥ Angel forever. The Bangel fans will end up unhappy I fear. Joss doesn't do happily ever after.

Thanks for caring. It helps a great deal.

Oh I remember when I worked in the shop when I was at college - we used to say "The customer is always right ... especially when they are wrong" Sadly our store managers believed that and I almost got the sack for refusing to give a refund for something that we hadn't sold in the first place!

Sorry to hear life is tough - had missed seeing you recently, and was going to e-mail when you commented on one of my posts - so guessed it was RL taking over.

Sorry to hear about the weight as well - it's a pain when it fluctuates.

Hope that now Spring is here (coming) life will even out for you. ... Schedule a TV evening with Tommy ASAP!! ... And that's an order!

ETA - Forgot to say I am so, so, so glad that I never have read the comics - I just stick with my Spuffy love!

I always say "The customer isn't always right, but you can't kill them." We try to make people happy, but some are just impossible.

I tend to climb inside myself when depressed. Luckily it doesn't last for long. I get over it and move on. Spring means allergies for me. Yuck.

Tommy is coming over today so we will be watching lots of TV series. Have Vampire Diaries, Castle, Fringe, Survivors and more to watch. Plus lots of left over Easter candy to get rid of so sugar high on the way.

I bought the first few comics for both BTVS and Angel. I just couldn't get into them. Now I'm glad I don't waste my money. I would rather read fan fiction. It makes a lot more sense.

I am still enjoying Vampire Diaries - series 1, but great.

Loved Survivors - so glad you are watching that as well.

Never seen Castle, but it is another one that seems popual among my friends.

Have a fun evening!

Castle is great fun tongue in cheek sort of style. Nathan Fillon is so very much like Castle. He is adorably goofy in real life. He is so cute in person. Got up close and personal in 2008. Ran into him walking around at Dragon*Con. Castle and Beckett, the main characters, banter and solve crimes. You would enjoy it I think.
