our alarm really doesn't usually go off that much at all, once every few months. it's just so irresponsible for the people working there not to take any notice or to evacuate their customers *shakes head*
Those employees should be reprimanded...but the horrible feeling I have is that they've been told before from high-ups to do exactly that, keep going if it's only a fire drill. Good thing you did the right thing. Fire is not to be messed with and by the time you smell smoke, it could be too late.
but i don't understand what 'only a fire drill' is?
the alarm goes off in a 8 storey complex, how would you know if it's a drill or not? they do have a practise run once a year, they tell us when that is happening.
any other time, you don't know if it's real or not, so how can it be 'only a drill'? (O_o) it had the alarm siren for about 5 minutes, then it had the evacuate alarm.
Well, horribly, at least here in Florida, it's assumed to be a false alarm every single time which is why one night my roommate and I tried to sleep through such an alarm until we could hear the RA pounding on all the doors and sort of smell...smoke.
