I have also been (mostly privately) fixated on this lately. I've been thinking about how we no longer have meaningful protests (or at least they get 0 press), rallies, or movements. It feels like we're taking things lying down, like we don't give a damn until it's too late, and then we don't move to change, we just complain.
I think it's time to be angry, time to take up what's important to us, and express it. Why do we have control of most of America's economy, its direction, and its population, yet none of our demands are being heard, much less met? We need to be radical, and even if that's not in the same way it looked like back in the 60s and 70s, we need to express ourseves and make sure someone pays attention.
The apathy, from all accounts, makes me sick. I'm ready, and I think a lot of our generation is, too. We need to do something.

No, but something else that sickens me is the whole partisan politics thing. I hate that politicians have to accept/reject something simply because it's something from the other. Like the SCHIP program.
Don't get me started on this...

Yeah, that sucks. There are definitely politicians I might support if they would drop those ridiculous parts of their platform that are just there to get votes from far right- or left-wingers.
