ugh.  me, car, two pillars in the krannert parking garage, guess who won.  the pillars.  there is about a foot long scratch, and it crosses the door and around the door it's totally dense about 4 inches tall.  ugh.  shit.  so, i guess that's coming out of my pocket.  anyone have any clues on how much that's going to cost me?  it's dented in in the

Have you called your insurance yet? They may pay for some of it. For a frame of reference, it cost my insurance company and I about $2,800 to have my car entirely repainted and both my side mirrors replaced when my car was vandalised almost three years ago. Your insurance co. may even pay for (some or all) a rental if you need one if it's going to take more than a day to fix your car.

so, since the car is mine and my roommate's, and the insurance is in her name, it wouldn't be good to file with insurance. also, we only have collision, or whatever the lowest coverage is anyway. i'm starting to wonder if it might be cheaper to try and find a new door and have the other part fixed... i guess we'll see. booo krannert parking pillars.
