Oh good god.

Some vandals broke into the Musee D'Orsay and punched Monet's Le Pont d'Argenteuil painting. Yes, they punched it in the middle and there's a 4 inch tear now. Oi. The security there is already tight, I can't imagine what more will do.

The BBC article made it sound like the security was weak and it was just a bunch of drunks. -_-

I just read another article on it. Sounds like it was a group of drunks celebrating in some sort of festival thing they have taking place right now.

Haha, security is definitely not weak in either the D'Orsay or the Louvre. Too many valuables to have lax security. When I was there, I could feel eyes on me the entire time.

The BBC article quoted someone from the D'Orsay saying the people broke in through a weak door. Whatever that means.

I don't know, maybe it's because the English hate the French. They made everyone involved sound like imbeciles. ;)
