Unfortunately, she didn't change her name, and (for that or other reasons) got screwed by a number of people, including Johnny Carson (who kept scheduling her and then changing it, finally putting her on at the end of the show to sing one song before she was blacked out) and by Cher Bono (who used her song in a movie and credited it to Sonny). She was also kind of between genres, although Harlan Ellison regarded her style as blue-eyed soul like Lotti Golden or Janis.
