Sorry about the post appearing and disappearing for a few moments. I have belatedly discovered that LJ's autoformatting is kind of the worst for this type of posting. Had to fall back to straight HTML, like some sort of savage.

It is probably not shocking that I came up with the final scene and the title first, and then wrote everything else as an excuse for them.

I really enjoy writing, but I don't find myself doing it very much. It's pretty rare that the random junk in my head coheres into a full story, especially recently -- I used to write more way back in the day when I was participating in Impromanga and stuff like that. I got a lot of inspiration from the stories everyone was working on. I dunno, it's fun, I've gotta figure out how to do it more.

Same here. I've got *way* too many unfinished stories out there. Fortunately, a fair number exist only on my hard drive, but too many are out on the web with people waiting for installments.
