I randomly found your journal and I must say after reading all your posts you have made my day. Not only do you write about everything that I think about on a daily basis but you made me laugh which I have found a hard thing to do lately. Seriously cant wait for your next post = )

*sighs* K, you need to be more careful with your generalizations. Many many of us find Twilight and tales like it to be laughable, so be careful about what you assume is being absorbed into our consciousness ( ... )

I get that, hence the mocking tone of the post. The only thing I am serious about is the unease and confusion felt by the fact that there actually are people who spend money on that drivel. Also while you may find it laughable I've been berated for not believing that such pieces were the most fantastic pieces of English literature comparable to Shakespeare or the Canterbury Tales.
I'm actually picking up Laurel K Hamilton as an olive branch. Hopefully that will appease my rabid detractors.

Heh. The Anita Blake stories? Oh, by the 4th book, that's pure porn, and it only gets worse. Entertaining though, as long as you know it's drivel.
