There could be nothing more refreshing than the laugh that suddenly broke from me as I came, completely unaware, on this post. I am still laughing helplessly and my balding (and clean-shaven) husband is giving me, not a strange look, but "oh she is on LJ again" look!

Why is it a curve and not a straight diagonal? does it reflect the curve of the head and the beard?

Karan..were you in Dramanon's last play at RS? I liked the acting but the playlets disappointed....

No, wouldn't be at any entertainment venue on weeknights - traffic pretty much kills all enthusiasm. :(

The line is curved to signify a constant value of (in this case) total number of hairs. :)

Oh, and as I type this, I have an anchor beard (a french beard with two 'arms' extending from the chin along the jaw line to the corners of the jaw - resembling an anchor) and short, short hair. Guess the graph applies to me a lot, eh?

why? Do you have less hair? I met you briefly, and my impression was of a pair of very bright eyes, I never noticed the hair (or lack of it). Is the anchor beard also called a chinstrap, such as the one beast_666 has?

All my sympathies for deforestation arise only out of a similar phenomenom happening atop my dome :). I keep it cruelly short now so as to acclimatise the world to a bald me.

The beard I currently sport is indeed very much like a [ Chinstrap ], except for the fact that my sideburns don't extend more than halfway past my ears and, consequently, do not connect to the beard lines at the angle of the jaw. I think a more accurate term would be a 'reed beard' (described [ here ]).

It does detract attention from the lack of hair on top!
