The Tokio Hotel album Dream Machine - The machine that crashed...

OK. So I'm going to try and write this post that I've been trying to write for days. No joke. I didn't know how to start or how to word this, so bare with me. I have a lot of feelings ( Read more... )

I agree with every sentence. I've even listened to it multiple times, hoping it would grow on me, but it hasn't. I'm super disappointed and don't know if i will even travel to see them if they come to the U.S.

I was both shocked and disappointed, actually. Because I'd really expected to like it. I mean, I like both their old music and the new direction they've gone in. I like it all. Except this.

You know, I almost regret buying a ticket for the concert. :-/ It's going to be great to actually get to meet them face-to-face after following them for 8 years, for sure! But the actual concert I couldn't care less. Saw a set list and there was quite a bit from Kings of Suburbia there to, gladly. So I can dance around to that at least. Also, I was wondering with the downer/blue mood of the album... Whatever inspired them to do that? Something bad? Gawd, I hope not. :-P

Bill had his heartbreak, obv, which we thought he worked out with his EP, and he's got Devon now, so. But Tom had his divorce. I'm sure that had a little to do with it. "Alles Schlampen ausser Mama." :( (sorry, bad German maybe. Can't be bothered to look it up rn)

Don't worry about your German. I don't know a single word of the language. ;-)

And yeah, I suppose you are right. That probably has a lot to do with it.

I didn't know about this Devon person though? Damn I am so out of the loop! o.O

I'm really sorry that you didn't like the album. I was surprised by it at first but I quickly found my marks around it. Now that I've seen the live show 7 times, I can tell that for me it is one of the best live tour they performed. The old and new songs blend in well and I just loved it altogether.
Hope you'll at least enjoy your show.

Yeah. I was honestly shocked when I listened to it. I can't hear when one song ends and the next begins. Except What If. That's the only song that stands out even a little on this album to me.

There's a lot of old fans that don't like how they've gone more electronic, but I really don't mind that. :-) I like how they've developed! So this was just such a huge step back for me, I just can't even... :-P I even regret buying tickets for the concert, even if it will be fun to meet them face to face after following them for 8 years. :-P

Let's hope that the live version impresses you more than the CD then :)

Oh gawd, yes. I really really hope so to. It would leave me heartbroken if I didn't. :-/
