Well, I'm glad to see you back. Sorry to hear about your broken leg. How did it happen?

On my way to work I've gotten into a bad habit of taking a shortcut right across a moderately busy road. It's fine really. But it means I have to go down a slope for a moment before going on a sidewalk again. This morning that slope? Was filled whit frosty frozen leaves. Yeah. It wasn't pretty and really fucking painful to. :-/

Ouch! Oh dear!

I suppose the only saving grace is that Alexandra is that little bit older now and can understand more what's happened to you?

She does. And gladly she wasn't with me when it happened this time. She's mostly grumpy about it telling me it's not fun when mom's leg isn't working. I totally agree with her!

Hey, our favourite Random Swede is back! Sorry to hear about your leg, I hope healing will go smoothly from now on.

I'm the random swede? :-D Why, thank you! That's a lovely nickname! I think I'll keep it. :-)

And yeah, it is healing. If slowly. One day at a time, as they say. :-)

I hope you don't mind! But I vividly remember you posting about your adventures with the Swedish telephone number, so that epithet just stuck in my mind :-)

Taking it one day at a time definitely sounds like a good approach to adopt.

Oh yeah! That's true! It was SUCH a shame that number was closed down! I had SO MUCH FUN with being a random swede on the Swedish Number. So much fun! I got to talk to so many interesting people!

Wow. It's a drag to hear you've broken your leg and are off work for so long. I hope you're feeling okay now that the infection is cleared up.

Unfortunally it takes over a month for the bone itself to heal properly and then you need to learn how to walk again... Which takes longer than you think. I learned that two years ago. :-/

ACK! Starting the new year off with a broken leg, not fun! I'm going to pretend you did it battling elves or something epic like that since you didn't say how you broke it so I'm guessing it wasn't quite as exciting. So, yeah, elves. Or gnomes. Gnomes fight dirty, they are all short and stuff.

:) Always happy when the library peeps are posting on LJ!

Even broke it on St Lucia day which we celebrate here in Sweden. I didn't do, since I broke my leg that morning. So just before Christmas. Which sucks even more, I'd say. :-P

I did, unfortunately. But my kid had a good time, and that's the most important off all to me. :-)
