Despite not being a big hockey person myself, I was vaguely elated with the Oilers for having gotten as far as they did. And I feel a bit cheated on having them not...win.
But I'm a bit of a fascist. I have this feeling in the back of my mind that the NHL should be just that--National. It was Lord Stanley's intention that the Stanley Cup be given to the best *Canadian* team.
Ah, well. What can you do! A Canadian invented basketball, but it's hardly our either. =D
