raccoon!

This past Monday night, a raccoon spent the night in our breezeway/garage. (Our house and garage are connected by a breezeway. There's a loft above both of those areas for storage, and he was hanging out and sleeping up there.)

Nah, I don't think so. He actually seemed to be afraid of the cats when he saw them--they were on the floor in the breezeway looking up at him, and he was looking down at them and didn't want to move.

The mother cat seemed threatened enough by him, though, to move the kittens outside. So the garage is all closed up again now.

I think they're cute! I actually find their mischievous reputation to be very endearing. I wanted to bring in the one that was in our garage and cuddle him.

There was a baby raccoon on the news that was being nursed by a mommy cat with all of her kittens! 8D

of course raccoons will bother kittens, alot of raccoons are vicious creatures! we don't have raccoons here, but back home we did. I used to always see them through the sliding door trying to take our WHOLE trashcan with them lol
