I've been keeping track of my menstrual cycle on
MyMonthlyCycles.com since last November, and I think it may have given me clues to help me figure out the method to my reproductive organs' madness.
Rather than a "normal" 28-day cycle, I seem to have a variant one. It'll go 30-32 days, and then a couple months' worth of 40+-day cycles. This seems to have been the pattern thus far. Of course, in the past, I have had times where a period would last two weeks (normally, it's fairly consistently six days long), and times where I'd go a few months without bleeding. But lately, it's been more regular-ish than before.
I realize it's only been six months since I've actively been paying attention to dates and stuff (before I just always kind of kept a loose idea of when in my mind), so I've got to keep doing it in order for any solid conclusions to be made. But according to my theory, my next period should be arriving, at the earliest, June 30th. Could also be up to five days after that. MyMonthlyCycles predicts it as beginning June 28th, based on my average cycle length thus far. Okay, not such a radical difference in dates. This period I'm having now started a couple of weeks after the site predicted this month's would. (I've even set my preferences on the site to send me an email two days before the predicted start date, which is kind of cute.) So maybe the average is starting to level out, or whatever.
We'll see what happens!!! Haha, I am a nerd, being excited about things like this. *shrug* I'm fascinated by my cyclical body, what can I say.
Semi-relatedly, I kind of wonder what a uterus would feel like to take out and squish.
Maybe I should enter the field of medicine. ;)
