Where It's At

- I used to have a lot more faith in my convictions, I think. This is one of those thoughts that keeps racing through my head lately, and I think a part of why I've been so quiet for the past couple years: when someone asks me what I think about something, I'm more apt to be inwardly stroking my chin and gazing at the ceiling while I'm like, "hmm, ( Read more... )

I totally forgot that you had a septum! I'm still jealous. Why don't you want to go to a professional to do it for you? Have you looked it up online what would be best for you and what not? I used to be scared that my tongue piercing would close up asap so I would always have my next piece of jewelry follow the previous one out, like they do with the needle and jewelry lol would that work for you? Either way, good luck! pictures pictures pictures

Well, I wouldn't mind going to a pro to do it, it's just that now that it's winter and snowy and I still don't have a car (grr), it's harder for me to get to my piercer's shop. I've read a little about stretching, but like I said I've never done it myself before so I'm scurred! :P If I used a taper, I could probably follow that with the new jewelry, but I'm not sure I'd even *need* to use a taper in the first place because the difference between the gauges is so slight. And I'd hate to spend money getting one just to use it once, ya know? Ahh I don't know. Haha. I'll take pictures of it whatever I decide! :D

To me, my convictions are always right for me.

That said, I have to recognize the fact that there are necessarily facets of myself that oppose even my strongest convictions, and that there is no guarauntee that these convictions will work or even be interesting to anyone else.

All you can do is be firm in your convictions, and willing to bend or release them if you find them not serving whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.
