Ugh, I am so embarrassed about abandoning this for so long. I actually do have 7.5k written, it's just missing an ending (and someone to rein in my ridiculous attempts to imitate ACD's writing style, but with more porn)

You really shouldn't leave us with anticipation. This is so good and I wish you'd post anything you had even if it doesn't have a proper ending. I really really can't wait to see what happenes next!
