The things I do...

for school.

Meet my giant "The Body" sheet for my 1st Grade Jr. High class. I made one of these before but it got rained on and soggy so I threw it out when I moved. So I've made another one for tomorrow's class. (The clear file in the corner is A4 size... just so you can get an idea of how big this thing is ^_^; )

That is really quite awesome xD I love how your art skills can be applied so well in teaching. Is this a reference sheet to hang up around the classroom, or are you teaching body parts now? I remember when we learnt naming Spanish body parts, we did it by singing "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" xD;

I'll put in on the board while I'm teaching the body parts and then it will come down. I can't leave it in the classroom as I have 4 different classes to teach this too, and in their specific classrooms.

The song is fine, except it doesn't cover everything I need it to so I don't like to use it. Arms and legs are useful!

Nice! I wish I could draw like that; if I had drawn it the students would end up horribly confused and misinformed. XD; But it sounds like a fun lesson to teach.

Also, randomly, I really like your journal layout. The night sky is so very pretty. <3

It's not as good close up, the lines are wobbly but no one other than me and the other teacher will be close enough to notice.

Thanks, I got it from one of the Arashi coms I follow for layouts.

I used to make those, but they never looked that cute.

He's a bit out of proportion since I was trying to make sure he fit on the paper.

The kids liked him today.

God, I wish I could have taken a camera into the classroom for when we played the make a monster game, they came up with some great things!

That's good to hear :D I used to teach an advanced 8-9 year old class where we'd spend most of the lessons designing things to do presentations about them. Some of the stuff they came up with was really imaginative. That's my favorite element of teaching (aside from seeing them expand their knowledge and all the free cake.)
