I haven't managed to catch you (and I didn't make it on the other night when I thought I would :(

But, I just wanted to tell you, I got that book! The dang library was out of it, naturally (they had seven in the system) so I took my $5 coupon to Borders and sprung for a new book for myself!!! So far, it's very cool!!! Thanks for recommending it

Hi Ladies,
Sorry for snooping, but I got online, saw your post and thought I'd say hi from across the 'big pond'. Whatcha readin'?

Anyway, I'm sitting in my hotel room in Berlin right now after a long day of sightseeing and teaching. I was in London all last week teaching as well, and now I'm here until next Tues. Man, I can't wait to get home.

Hope you're both well. :)

I envy you. I'm feeling so anti-american these days, I think I'd be house shopping there if I was you. Hope you're having a cool trip--it sounds like it! But yeah, home is always good, even if it is ridiculous.

I'm reading "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare. It's vampire-ish. Supernatural-ish. Good stuff!!

It has been fun getting to do all this traveling - and I'm totally with you on the anti-American feelings these days - but MAAAAANNNNNN, it sure is nice to be back where everything is familiar and easy. I haven't been anywhere else yet that I'd rather live - so far anyway. Sadly, there's problems everywhere. I'm really hoping for a positive change with this next election. *crosses fingers, toes, eyes, legs, arms, and whatever else I can* It's been a truly sad revelation for me this past few years, to realize that the country I once trusted and loved automatically has been such a shit!!!!
