Actually, I've noticed in the last three years that there's been a huge trend to put pockets in dresses and skirts. It's fantastic! I have at least two or three or four such items and I llluuuuurrrrrrrve them. And they include my favourite dress! (Which is not my favourite solely because of the pockets, either.)

You have friends who design clothes? yey! I usually where jeans, which have trousers, though I noticed that maternity jeans often don't have any, or pockets that are so small that your phone drops out and breaks. I only have one coat that has no pockets.
I have a dress that not only has pockets, but also has a loose enough v-neck that I can breastfeed in it!
