I blow at New Year's resolutions. I mean, mine would amount to "write actual fiction instead of just blog posts, exercise every so often, and get better at telling people to fuck off." But I suck at follow-through.

I have never had a proper joib and am SCARED about how to support my baby in future. It is good to remember people retrain and do new jobs in their 30s and 40s. So I can pretend I am a returning-to-work mother rather than a loser!
I can't get over how many jobs require extra degrees these days. I am sure my degree (Classics and Philosophy at Cambridge, a long time ago so all forgotten completely!) could have got me a librarian or archivist post in the past, but these days you need a specific postgraduate qualification.
