So as of yesterday, I think it was, my system is back up and running again. I swapped out the drive and restored my backed-up image all by myself. Yay! And yay for backups, Jesus. DON'T ignore your backups!!!

Here's what you do: Buy yourself a new hard drive, now. Make it at least 500 gigs or what's the point. I mean really, you can buy terabyte
