My main curiosity at this point is what the arcs that Joss is going for will be. If Echo is a different person each episode, it makes it hard for a conventional character/plot arc. Of course there will be a lot of arcs swirling around her - the tech, the handler (whom I also loved!), the FBI guy, etc. etc.
But Echo herself? I'm looking forward to seeing what Joss does there.
As I understand it, Echo keeps her memories as Echo. When she woke up she asked 'Did I fall asleep?' not 'Who are you and what am I doing here?' Thus, though we won't be seeing her be 'Echo' most of the time, she will be able to have an arc. Though I am curious how they go about doing that as well.
I feel like the series is drawing a picture that's getting filled in as we learn more about each character that will eventually give that picture with Echo silouetted in it.
