I've seen so much of that agent-idiocy over the last week. It just gets me so angry. After the first few posts and such, I stopped reading.

This whole thing with OSC upsets me, too. It always sucks to discover something less than savory by an author I otherwise admire. Ender's Game is brilliant, and remains one of my favorite books.

And so the ago-old dilemma contiues--do you judge an author by the works you like, or by those you don't?

Yeah, it's all a bit infuriating isn't it?

Card's written a lot that I like, and some stuff I have no interest in reading (see also: his Empire books). But yeah, it's a conundrum. Some of his stuff I love love love. So personally, I'm going to continue checking out books of his that sound interesting to me, skip the stuff that doesn't interest me, and try and speak out about the stuff I find offensive.
