Captain's Log, Stardate: Hugo Nominations!

The last of the Hugo nominated short stories has run at Escape Pod. I had the pleasure of soliciting and helping organize, schedule, and find hosts for each Hugo episode before Mur came aboard. It turned out that she was able to host the final episode, which brought a nice sort of closure to the Hugo stories.

And a fine job you did! I like listening to the Hugo stories every year, even the ones that don't wow me.

I do have higher expectations for Hugo stories, and usually there's one that far exceeds those. This year it's Bridesicle, so that's the one I've got my money riding on. :)

Btw, I was in California last month and I didn't even think to drop you a line and see if you wanted to do lunch. I wish I'd thought of it! Not that you necessarily would have had the chance, but I wish I'd asked.
