Two Horsemen Equal ...

This started hereIt had been easy enough to find out who was hiding the scientist that Methos had made clear he wanted to find before Hsu. Easy for Kronos to get the details, after all, it was the kind of community he'd moved adeptly through for many years. The why behind his Brother's interest in the man had been murky until he'd reviewed the ( Read more... )

Methos was still uneasy about the fact that he was putting himself in Kronos' debt. Even to make Fred and Wes happy, it was an extreme maneuver. But Hsu in his would be helpful as well, and the academic in him was intrigued, and anyway...

Anyway, he was bored, and that never boded well for anyone.

He didn't tell Wesley where he was going, letting him think what he would. He hoped Fred was strong enough to keep the boy sane if this went badly.

After arriving at the National Hotel and settling into the Triplex suite, he changed into something more suited for the formality of the resort and the warm climate. Then he made his way downstairs, first to leave a message for Methos at the desk, and next to relax in the vintage D’Lounge Bar.

The minute he saw Kronos, the bartender smiled and greeted him in a familiar way. "How nice to see you again. Welcome back! Will you be having the customary?" Kronos shook his hand and nodded. "It's nice to be back. Yes, the usual." There was some small talk, a bit of catching up to do with each other, as the bartender made his drink.

Drink in hand, he strolled over to a seat near the window and happily leaned back in the leather chair. He'd taken a couple of sips and was just about to call his office when he peered towards the doorway, and Methos.

Methos hadn't done formal in a while, but it paid to fit in, and he managed to give off the air of old money on vacation quite well. The old money bit made him smile slightly as he stepped into the bar. He spotted Kronos almost immediately and held up a finger to let him know he'd been a moment.

At the bar, he ordered a very expensive, and for all that very fine, ale, sipping it with approval before tipping the bartender well and finally making his way to Kronos.

Methos sat across from him, trying to not look too closely at the little thrill of excitement at the sharpening of his senses at the knowledge of the game ahead.

"You made it," he said and lifted his glass to toast him before he downed the rest of the drink.
Setting the glass down, he leaned back in his chair and thoughtfully examined the man across from him.

He couldn't resist and grinned while asking him for old times sake, "Problems?"

OOC:

I wanted to take a moment to flagwave Kronos and Methos as well as their writers in this exchange. Bravo and well done to all of you! It was an exchange that I really enjoyed reading.

*giggles* Yes it is nice to see them having fun, although I'm not sure if Methos had as MUCH fun as Kronos did. Thank you much, it is, as you know, always appreciated. *hugs*

Hey thanks so much! *hugs* Don't know if Methos' writer saw this cause it came to me but I'll let them know. I'm really glad you enjoyed it, that's a nice reward for me and the character.
