Anyway, he was bored, and that never boded well for anyone.
He didn't tell Wesley where he was going, letting him think what he would. He hoped Fred was strong enough to keep the boy sane if this went badly.

The minute he saw Kronos, the bartender smiled and greeted him in a familiar way. "How nice to see you again. Welcome back! Will you be having the customary?" Kronos shook his hand and nodded. "It's nice to be back. Yes, the usual." There was some small talk, a bit of catching up to do with each other, as the bartender made his drink.
Drink in hand, he strolled over to a seat near the window and happily leaned back in the leather chair. He'd taken a couple of sips and was just about to call his office when he peered towards the doorway, and Methos.

At the bar, he ordered a very expensive, and for all that very fine, ale, sipping it with approval before tipping the bartender well and finally making his way to Kronos.
Methos sat across from him, trying to not look too closely at the little thrill of excitement at the sharpening of his senses at the knowledge of the game ahead.

Setting the glass down, he leaned back in his chair and thoughtfully examined the man across from him.
He couldn't resist and grinned while asking him for old times sake, "Problems?"
