This weekend re-affirmed my utter distaste in anything in which you have to stand in line to get to. I'm reminded of a funny bit from stand-up comedian John Pinet about "lines". If you don't know his work, I HIGHELY recommend you check him out. He's got some funny stuff on Youtube. Anyway, back to my rant.

$1.75 isn't much, but not everyone makes the kind of salary you do such that $1.75 is practically nothing. To someone who makes less than $10/hr, that's probably enough for them to want it.

My manager was telling me about the Pantera guitarist after he wrote some instrumentals, recorded it, then mailed it to me to listen to. He was saying no one shreds like Dime Bag. I said, I bet my cousins could talk about him at length as I'm sure they listened to Pantera. He's a heavy metal fan too.

Yeah, and I understand that but this guy looked like he was well off. I think he was just being petty.

That's one of my favorite metal bands. True, Dimebag shreds like no one. I sometimes put a cutout of dimebag playing on my guitar when I play out... you know, for inspiration ;-). Actually, he and Kerry King (slayer) are very good shredders.
