Phil and I sort of accidentally did our Valentines Celebration a week in advance. We had a rough school week (we each had 3 midterms) and to lighten the mood we exchanged gifts. I love "food jewlery" - i.e. jewlery in the shape of foods, like my ham pin. Phil knows this and got me a charm necklace (because he also knows that while I love the ( Read more... )

holy moly I love that ham pin. I've considered starting a pandora charm bracelet, some of those charms look so pretty and cute. My family started one for my mom for christmas, although I'd rather have a charm bracelet that I could possibly get something like a taco charm :P

I don't know why I don't like charm bracelets. They are neat. I think they are making a big comeback in a non-traditional sense (Pandora for example). I would think that a nerd charm bracelet would be all the rage (like with chamrs like: mario mushrooms, triforces, companion cubes, D20s, etc). Wish I had the skills and resources to make something like that happen.

Pandora charms are a little different. I like them because they aren't the traditional sort. You can also travel and buy special local ones therefore associating them with memories. What did your mom think of it?

Sworovski has some pretty awesome charms. I like the ones with faces. D: They have some Halloween ones I would love to get (skull, pumpkin and ghost) and the fruits are pretty awesome. They also have these aquatic animals (crab, gold fish and octi) that I am in love with. Phil will probably buy me one for my birthday. It makes gift giving easier on him. :)

I think my mom liked it a lot, but I don't know if she wears it now, or can even put it on herself (tricky lobster claw clasp).

I like the sound of the Sworovski charms - sounds adorable!

Thank you so much. <3 :D

It really is so very, very, very stupid... he's really not quite right in the head. I feel bad for his parents... turns out they've dealt with the kind of behaviour since he was young. :/

Keep records of your meetings with academic advisors (or whoever told you that you're fine to graduate after this semester). I was actually half a credit shy of graduating from Dal but because I had printouts from meetings with AA's AND I'd only taken 2 credits in my final semester (instead of 2.5) I could prove that they'd told me I was fine, and they ended up waiving my last half credit. So technically I have a 19.5 credit degree!
