Seven can be a really great age.

Thank you for this wonderful story; it was fun--and inspiring--to read, and I kept thinking, "Erin was certainly given to the right set of parents!"

Oh this was so nice to read Kristin. We have so much in common with our first born daughters that it is just uncanny. I am so happy she is doing well and so sorry for all the worries that we as mothers have for our precious children. I have seen a psychologist for my beloved Lilliauna as well and am encouraged by a friend to go back. It is heartbreaking to feel our children are not perfect, not because we need perfection, but because we don't want these precious little beings to suffer. Thank you for this nice post. You know, she reminds me a lot of Fraya - Sam's 7 year old. Smile. Life is good friend.

I agree that Erin has wonderful parents. She hersekf is full of energy and enthusiasm for life and you and Erik have done a great job of channeling that. Your synopsis of her life brought tears to my eyes also. I still remember how difficult it was to get her to sleep even when she was a tiny infant. Grandmas tend to be biased, but I have dealt with gifted students for the last 25 years and she certainly fits a certain type. You can be proud of her and confident that you are doing a good job.
