Today as a (very belated) teaser, I'm going to post a snippet from the very first draft of City of Shadows - back when it was in first person and the world building was a lot crappier and there was almost no plot. I figure I haven't publicly humiliated myself in a while, so I'm due for a moment of embarrassment.

Yes, a few things changed, but Dax apparently has remained true to form in the finished product. :)
