Did anyone else happen to see this article  in the Washington Post?

I can't say I was surprised to find out that Stephenie Meyer is still a bestselling author among college kids, or that many of the bestselling nonfiction titles on campuses are about President Obama. I was surprised that the article seemed to be calling us stupid for not reading ( Read more... )

Ew, stupid article! I read young adults book and I'm in college, I love also classics but why should someone decide what our generation should read? Just because the previous was focused on other genres of literature it doesn't mean they are better readings. I'm really shocked to see that article, and quite offended.Everyone has his own taste and will read whatever wants to, college or not!

I'm left scratching my head at the randomness of this article. First, they tell us that college kids are reading Meyer's Twillight, then at the end of the article they accuse the same people of only having the attention span to read a 140 character blurb on Twitter. Also, what's wrong with middle of the road? No, lets have everyone be a ranting, in-your-face Liberal, that'll be good for society. Rioting and anarchy is fun!
