well, i've taken to making new years alone my own tradition and having fun with that instead of moping about what isn't. holidays and celebrations are vastly overrated anyhow, it's just another day and then it's over. no big deal. i buy snacks and drinks i don't have to share with anyone else, and enjoy anderson cooper's times square coverage on cnn. you can have good times if you want to.
