Do you take anything in order to live with them? I remember a girl at an old workplace who suddenly developed severe allergies to her two cats. She was brokenhearted at having to get rid of one of them, and didn't want to get rid of the second. I don't know what kind of medicine it was, but she took two injections a day. I wished I'd asked her! Her husband was sweet enough to do them for her because she was too chicken to do them herself. As much as I am TERRIFIED of needles (and have no husband to help me), I'd be willing to go that far if it meant I could live with a cat without being sick and losing my voice.

Thankfully, I only have a very slight allergy to them, so taking Sudafed daily does the trick for me. I have a friend who is allergic to horses and gets shots so she can be around hers (she has four or five on her property). I hope my allergy never gets that bad!

And LOL @ your icon!

I think I'm allergic to either horses or hay. Or both. I found that out the hard way on my first (and last!) hayride. Thought I was going to die, I was coughing and wheezing so badly!

There goes my fantasy of living in The Country!
