i'm just happy that derek is showing some emotion other than cold-dead-robot-wolf. that's an exaggeration, but seriously, those last few minutes of the episode were more emotionally packed for derek than most of the rest of the show put together. and honestly, to me it was totally appropriate that stiles go somewhat awkwardly put his hand on derek's shoulder. regardless of whether or not they have romantic chemistry, they've been through some serious shit together, and stiles knows what it's like to lose someone. plus, it totally makes sense that cora go cry over boyd's body because uh, vault, hasn't yet gotten over the awkward "so i watched everyone in our family die, where the fuck were YOU, big brother" awkwardness etc, so who is left to comfort derek

But, yeah (have you seen this week's ep?) Derek is finally breaking down a little. I'm not sure how much I hate Jennifer (as contrived as she is) mostly because I do kinda want Derek to meet someone and, speaking from personal experience it doesn't really happen once you're out in the world unless the show writers do it for you. *g* (on the other hand, Derek/Stiles is still pretty cute) If you have seen the next ep, I give the new Derek backstory an even bigger WTF.
Stiles is a fixer. I love him a lot. And I love that he doesn't buy Peter's bullshit.
Guh, I SO want to know about the Hale family. Everything about them goes against pretty much everything else we know about werewolves.
