Transhumanism Is Not A Big Truck

So, I have some New Friends.  Hello, New Friends!   The spark of new friendship springs from a shared interest in transhumanism, so I suppose I should put on my pontificating hat and scratch out a few words about it.

I think the world could use more tigers.

And perhaps wolves.

And maybe bears.

Going on to what you are saying, I imagine a world where everyone is free to express themselves, but who are there for each other. A world where Imagination is recognized globally as Something Important. Where we have learned how to try on thoughts for size, to see how they work, how they affect us.

I think things like Buddhism are going to be incorporated more and more as ways of dealing with change.

A world where journeys into Inner Space will happen as much as journeys into Outer Space, with Travel Agencies and Explorers...ahh, just imagine, Memenauts travelling ones thoughts through Wittgensteinian space. Ooo.

I'm moderately proud of my "we could all be really awesome" formulation.

And yeah - I dig Zen because Zen has a certain handle on memetics. It's of a piece with how I want to study with the Jesuits because they get the power of ideas. That's one of the things that draws me towards religious traditions, if not institutions - the cerebronauts, the Sufis, the monks, etc.

Also definitely looking forward to ad-hoc task-oriented hive minds.
