If you found Robert Bork floating in your toilet bowl, he'd look right at home. I was just reminded by a Newsweek interview that he still exists, and I'm good and cranky about that fact. He's in that class of authoritarian that I don't respect enough to have a coherent argument with: I'd much rather get up in his face with a good hearty fuck you!

Fox news could give Oliver North and G. Gordon Liddy their own shows, but don't even invite Bork on to be a panelist or pundit. I think that says something.

Also, I'm amused by the way the ninth amendment makes so-called originalism paradoxical. Originalists want the document interpreted the way its writers intended, but those same writers wanted its interpretation to cover future, unforeseen encroachments by the government...
